Article marketing has proven to be very popular in the last few years because it's a fairly easy way to make some extra money. As long as you have some basic writing skills, you can join the thousands of marketers who are making money this way. In fact there are three different methods you can use to generate income from your article writing, as I'm about to discuss.
The first method is simply to become a full-time article marketer (or ghost writer) where you basically write articles for other people. You charge a certain fee per article and advertise your services on the freelancing and outsourcing websites, and in the various marketing forums.
This is a simple way to make money but the trouble is that you only have a certain amount of time in which you can write these articles. So therefore there is only a certain amount of money you can potentially earn each week before you start running out of time.
The second way you can make money writing articles is to write and submit articles to the largest, most popular article directories, and send people from these articles to your website or blog using your resource box. This is commonly referred to as bum marketing and is one of the best ways to make money.
It works because you are basically using the authority of the article directories to ensure that your articles are ranked highly in the search engines. The trick is to use keywords in your article titles that don't have a lot of competition, so your articles are likely to appear on the first page of results.
The final way you can make money from article marketing is by mass submitting your articles to as many different article directories and websites as possible. The goal here is to build as many backlinks as possible using your resource box to link to your websites using the keywords which you want to rank highly for.
So basically unlike the last method which aims to get the articles themselves ranked highly, you are instead looking to get your own websites ranked highly through lots of backlinks. This is actually the method I most prefer because in the long-term you want to build up your own assets rather than spending time trying to get your articles (which appear on someone else's website) ranked highly.
Whichever method you use, you should find that you can earn a decent amount of money just by writing articles. It's not fun by any means, but it's still one of the best ways of making money online.
